The Performance
Members Directory
We have a professional sound.
Our professionalism is completed by LOOKING professional.
Our audience deserves our best effort
  • Be on the risers ready to sing at the designated call time - come warmed up.
  • The performance starts as we line up to go on stage, and all the time until we return backstage.
  • During the pre-performance line up process - do not talk and wait for instructions from the Conductor.
  • Music must be in a black folder. When entering and leaving the stage, the folder is held down by your side and always facing the audience.
  • On stage be comfortable, focused and ENGAGED. You know the music so look confident, not concerned.
  • NO talking at any time when in the public's view. Concentrate your full attention on the Conductor.
  • Your music will stay by your side until you receive the signal from the Conductor. Have your first page of singing tabbed so you can go to it easily.
  • When we are not singing, CLIP your music pages with paper clips. Do NOT 'follow along'. Immediately turn to the next section. Stay still. Look up and be a part of the audience. Do not move. Enjoy the other performers.
  • Quiet page turning is a MUST - a quiet page turn is the sign of an attentive choral singer.
  • At the end of a movement - eyes front to the Conductor and do not move or turn the page until the movement is completely over and the orchestra/soloists have finished.
  • At the end of the performance close you music and return it to your audience facing side.
  • Remember to bring "treats" for the reception if applicable.
  • REMEMBER: HEADS UP - FOCUS - ARTICULATE - ENJOY - SMILE
